VOLUNTEER

2018 Volunteers - BRAVO and THANK YOU!

The Trailing of the Sheep Festival would and could not happen every year without the dedication of more than 200 volunteers. The communities of Hailey, Ketchum, Sun Valley and Carey along with devotees from all over the country, volunteer in a variety of ways to make the event a success. They are highly appreciated and are a critical complement to our volunteer board of directors and event committee. We applaud and thank our dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers for keeping our rich history strong. Thank you.

Join our planning Committee 2019 - We invite you to become a part of our Event Committee!  We meet monthly and you can be a part of the planning and preparation for the Festival.  It is a very rewarding experience and a great way to meet and work with people from all over Idaho.  This year we need help with lodging, food and beverage, volunteers, the Folklife Fair and the Sheepdog Trials.

But it’s not all work! Volunteers have a great time watching performances, meeting people from all over the country and getting to know the performers. As a volunteer, you are also contributing directly to the Trailing of the Sheep Cultural Heritage Center’s mission to "gather, present, and preserve the history and culture of sheepherding in Idaho and the West." If you are interested in volunteering at the Festival or throughout the year, please contact:
