Your stories -- the ones you can't forget, the ones that shape your life, the ones that surround you. Join us for this workshop to learn how to capture the history of family, the romance of place, events of the past or future or the topic you choose as important for you to share with friends, family and the world.

Prominent western writer and Nevada sheep rancher Carolyn Dufurrena will discuss how to look at important stories and bring them to life with an array of sights, sounds and easy digital techniques. Learn from the short films of others how simple and fun it is to record your important stories and irreplaceable family histories. We will use examples from the Western Folklife Center’s Deep West Video program, the Nevada Arts Council and the Center for Digital Storytelling in Berkeley, California. $30.00
